Northwest Passage History at Fort Ross - 1980 to 2012 Pictures worth thousands of words

Ewa & Mirek Czesnik were crewmembers aboard S/V JONATHAN III (NED) during an east to west NW Passage in 2012. Victor Wejer requested photographs of the pages from the guest book located at Fort Ross on the east entrance to Bellot Strait. Photographs now document all who signed the guest book between 1980 to 2012.

Here are a few selected photographys - who do you recognize?
I have only posted a few photographs because of concerns over the large file sizes. Contact me if you would like to receive the photograph of your visit - remember to provide the date and your name please. You can use the comments below to make a request.

Please do not use these photographs for a commercial purpose - they remain the property of photographers Ewa & Mirek Czesnik - use herein by permission of Victor Weyer for NW Passage education.

  1. I'm totally amazed by these pages... there needs to be more written caches at various spots throughout the Northwest Passage... I hope NWP boats in 2013 will remember to carry a sealing ammo can with a logbook and pencils in it and post where it has been cached with a carin monument easy to spot from near shore.

Thank you very much for sharing these historic events with us on your blog.
